What is the 6 pm cut-off?
Every day, 18:00 Vietnam time is the last moment an application counts for that day. Vietnam is on UTC+7 all year, so 18:00 in Vietnam is 11:00 UTC.
I chose the 4-hour option. When will my result come?
The 4-hour e-visa ($104) runs on a fixed schedule:
| You apply (Vietnam time) | Result (Vietnam time) |
|---|---|
| Before 8:00 | 12:00 the same day |
| 8:00 to 14:00 | 18:00 the same day |
| After 14:00 | 12:00 the next working day |
So if you apply at 19:00 or 23:00 Vietnam time, the result comes at 12:00 the next working day. If you can wait until early morning and apply before 8:00, it comes at 12:00 that day.
It is Friday evening. Can I still get my e-visa this weekend?
Yes. The weekend service ($224) opens on Friday at 18:00:
| You apply (Vietnam time) | Result (Vietnam time) |
|---|---|
| Friday 18:00 to Saturday 15:00 | Saturday 18:00 |
| Saturday 15:00 to Sunday 15:00 | Sunday 18:00 |
| After Sunday 15:00 | Weekend service closed |
